Alana Steele

Alana is a CAPS certified Sommelier and holds certifications such as: French Wine Scholar, Italian Wine Scholar, and Bourgogne master’s from the Wine Scholar Guild, WSET L3 and is currently studying towards their Certified Sherry Specialist accreditation. Alana has travelled extensively in wine regions, studying abroad and works to import niche products into Halifax.

She is an active Sommelier and General Manager at The Ostrich Club and Little Oak Bar, and runs a wine subscription focused on low intervention, exclusive wines, Crushpad.

Alana has been teaching with the CAPS AC program since 2018 and can often be found hosting tastings for both education and fun.
